bringing people together to build up lives

That's our vision. That's where it starts. We believe that everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, should have a decent place to live; a place of their own where they feel safe, where they know their neighbors, where they can afford nutritious food and decent healthcare, where they can save up to send their kids to college, and ultimately where they can build fulfilling, successful lives.

turning houses into homes

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is a part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles and is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide by constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. We are advocates for fair and just housing policies, and providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

everyone is welcome

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County has an open door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views, or any other distinctions that divide people. As a matter of policy, Habitat of Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize.
